Environment Canada ended the weather advisory on early Saturday morning for parts of Toronto that saw a blast of winter weather kick off the weekend, with up to 10 centimetres of snow.
The snow started falling on Friday evening and continued throughout the overnight hours.
The weather agency warned motorists of unsafe driving conditions due to the snow.
Travel along Highway 401 could be hazardous during the morning hours on Saturday, the advisory said.
Toronto Pearson says it saw eight centimetres of snowfall overnight and expects about another centimetre to fall Saturday morning. The airport adds that it doesn’t “anticipate the continuing snowfall to impact operations.”
Milder conditions are on tap for the rest of the weekend, with daytime highs of 1 C on Saturday and β 1 C on Sunday.
