A new event for fashion creators is coming to Toronto just in time for Fashion Week

This article is part of a series supported by Narcity Media Group brands Boulevard and Rally.

Fringed jackets, asymmetrical skirts and sailor-chic vibes aren’t the only thing making a spring comeback. Boulevard is back in Toronto this April with a brand new event – and this time it’s focused on all things fashion.

Boulevard, a brand which promises to “break down the barriers between your news feed and reality,” is hosting a new network event designed to help creators and influencers navigate the thriving (and competitive) creator industry.

For its second edition in Toronto, Boulevard’s Fashion Station event will help creators prepare in the lead-up to Fashion Week, with a panel discussion hosted by local content creators and influencers who are passionate about the connecting worlds of fashion, social media and the creator industry. Tickets are already on sale.

Boulevard aims to strengthen the local creator scene through unique real-life experiences and events, and the Fashion Station event will enable influencers and creators to network, swap tips and learn from one another.

The event promises a raw, unfiltered glimpse into the life of a Toronto lifestyle influencer, and is open to experienced creators, aspiring novices and everybody in between.

The two and a half hour event will feature a live panel conversation, lead by host and Rally creator Taylor Gignac, known as @taylbe on socials. Gignac has hundreds of thousands of combined followers across Instagram and TikTok, and has racked up millions of likes across his profiles.

Also in attendance and confirmed on the panel is Toronto-based influencer and Rally creator Emmanuel Kelechi Osegi — @kingosegi on Instagram and TikTok — whose social brand focuses on fashion and lifestyle. Like Gignac, Osegi has built a significant social media following, and has amassed tens of thousands of followers online.

Another not-yet-revealed panelist, as well as a mystery brand manager, will also be in attendance at the event.

Among the topics up for discussion on the night will be the art of crafting a unique aesthetic and voice on social media – specifically related to fashion content – and practical advice on utilizing social media for networking within the industry.

Panelists will also be discussing best practices for content planning across multiple social media platforms, as well as strategies for curating a social media feed that reflects the creators’ visionary work.

In addition to this, there will also be an open Q&A session, an interactive workshop and a meet and greet, as well as ample opportunity for attendees to network with the panelists and other likeminded colleagues within the fashion and creator industry.

Fashion Station is Boulevard’s second Toronto-based industry meet up, following its inaugural event in March 2024. While this month’s panel will focus on all things fashion, the previous event – Food Station – featured a deep-dive into all things food, drink and social media.

The latest event will take place on Thursday, April 25 at 6:30 p.m. at Boxcar Social Harbourfront, a chic cafe and bar on the water serving coffee, cocktails and a range of bites.

Tickets for the event are $40 per person plus HST, but if you bring a friend you can get two general admission tickets for $60, instead of $80.
