Tell us more about yourself

Hi I’m Aretha! I’m a Montreal-based food/restaurant (occasionally activities) content creator. I love cats but I’m also extremely allergic to cats.

I came to Montreal from Toronto, and starting documenting my food adventures in the city! What started as a food diary grew into what it is today.

How would you describe the style and tone of your content?

Two words: informative and fun. My videos are supposed to give you a piece of information, but also injected with my own personality and opinion.

Just trying to constantly improve my online presence and voice! I’m always changing and trying new things.

What do you enjoy most about content creation?

Not so much the creation process, but the feedback I get is what makes it worthwhile. I love it when the audience actually visits the spots I recommend and gives me a review!

What is your creation process?

Shooting -> Eating -> Storyboarding -> Editing -> Voiceover -> Captions -> Post! There’s actually so much more involved in the process, I consider it my 5-9 job!

I want to go beyond what a regular “foodie” is; my goal is to be a tastemaker! Meaning people watch my content and will trust what I say because they understand and align with my taste.
