Kariya Park is a little oasis located in the City of Mississauga. The park was actually named after Mississauga’s sister city, Kariya, Japan and is “centred around serenity and natural beauty, designed to authentically capture the essence of Japan,” according to Visit Mississauga.
You’ll find features like a traditional Japanese pavilion and a quaint bridge over a pond which offers stunning views of the cherry blossom trees.
You’ll also want to see the Friendship Bell, which was a gift from Kariya, as well as The Statue of Friendship which can be found as you stroll along the picturesque trails.
