This harvest tea train ride near Toronto has fluffy spiced scones and vibrant fall views

Pinkies up! This enchanting fall train ride near Toronto offers gorgeous views and a harvest tea experience.

You can enjoy a magical journey through a red and gold countryside as you sip warm cups of tea and bite into fluffy pastries.

The Waterloo Central Railway is hosting its first ever Fall Heritage Tea Ride this September. Located about an hour outside of Toronto, the experience is “the perfect blend of scenic beauty and cozy treats” according to the website.

The menu is brimming with comforting fall goodies and you can bite into fresh baked apple cinnamon scones topped with fresh preserve, Devon cream and butter.

There will also be petite sandwiches in a variety of flavours, as well as drool-worthy desserts including date bars, pear tarts and dark chocolate dipped strawberries.

You can even add a bit of booziness to your outing by purchasing an alcoholic drink onboard.

The round-trip adventure to Elmira leaves from the Farmers Market station in Waterloo and takes about 2 hours.

The first date of the ride, September 22, has already sold out, but another ride is scheduled for September 29. Tickets are available online and are expected to sell out fast. The experience is for passengers age 19 and older.
