The fall colours are here, meaning it’s time to get outside and soak up those vibrant views. There are so many gorgeous spots around Toronto to take in the splendour of the season.
One such place is Mount Nemo Conservation Area. Located about an hour from Toronto, the destination is home to woodland trails, soaring views, a towering lookout and more, and “tends to be a favourite park for nature-enthusiasts,” according to the website.
There are several trails to explore during your visit. The 3.3 kilometre North Loop Trail is a great option if you’re on the hunt for autumn views.
The hike leads to the Brock Harris Lookout, where you can gaze over more than 50 kilometres of rolling red and gold countryside. If you’re visiting on a clear day, you may even be able to see the CN Tower in the distance.
Other trails include the Escarpment Edge Trail and South Loop Trail, and you can expect some incredible escarpment views and more during your adventure.
It’s recommended that you book a reservation before visiting, and tickets can be purchased online.
If you’re looking for other gorgeous hiking spots around Toronto, you might want to head to Rattlesnake Point. Similar to Mount Nemo, this conservation area features a towering lookout over the fall foliage.
