The Toronto Transit Commission — also known as the TTC — is looking to hire people for a lot of positions now.
With the TTC jobs that are available, the pay ranges from $30 all the way up to $50 an hour.

So, if you’re looking for work, here are eight positions the TTC is hiring for.
Storeperson
Salary: $30.19 to $39.21 an hour
Who Should Apply: You need to have completed grade 12, have a valid G driver’s licence, and have a valid certificate of qualification as a parts person from the College of Trades and the Ministry of Colleges and Universities.
Revenue Equipment Attendant
Salary: $30.79 to $39.99 an hour
Who Should Apply: To get hired, you need training obtained through the completion of grade 12 trade subjects in machine shop practice.
Also, you must have completed community college-level courses approved by the TTC in electrical theory, programmable logic controllers, and welding.
The ability to lift and carry supplies and tools up and down stairs, up to two years of related equipment repair experience and a valid G driver’s licence is required as well.
Formwork Carpenter
Salary: $42.35 an hour, plus a $1.25 an hour skilled trades premium
Who Should Apply: You need a valid certificate of qualification as a general carpenter from the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities.
Also, a valid G driver’s licence and practical experience and knowledge specific to concrete forms and shoring construction are required.
General Body Repairperson/Painter
Salary: $42.35 an hour, plus a skilled trades premium of $1.25 per hour
Who Should Apply: If you want to apply, you need a valid auto body and collision damage repair certificate issued by the Ministry of Colleges and Trades.
Knowledge of and experience using computers to input and retrieve vehicle repair and labour reporting information is required along with a valid G driver’s licence.
Transit Special Constable
Salary: $40.53 to $50.66 an hour
Who Should Apply: You must have completed grade 12 and have several years of related experience in customer service and hospitality, health care, social services, and/or law enforcement.
Also, you need to be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and have a valid G driver’s licence.
Experience dealing with diverse and vulnerable communities, the ability to de-escalate situations, knowledge of law enforcement and security, situational assessment and problem-solving skills, and knowledge of computer apps are required.
You’ll also be required to pass the TTC Special Constable training and annual re-qualification.
General Painter
Salary: $40.33 an hour, plus a $1.25 per hour skilled trade premium
Who Should Apply: You need up to three and a half years of experience and a certificate of qualification as a commercial and residential painter and decorator from the Ontario Ministry of Skills Development.
Also, you must have a valid G driver’s licence and pass tests for the operation of TTC vehicles and forklifts.
Vehicle Heating, Ventilating and Air Condition Mechanic
Salary: $43.45 an hour, plus a $1.25 per hour skilled trade premium
Who Should Apply: If you want to apply, you need a valid certificate of qualification for a refrigeration and air conditioning mechanic issued by the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities.
You must have a valid G driver’s licence as well.
Coach Technician
Salary: $43.76, plus a skilled trade premium of $1.25 an hour
Who Should Apply: You need a valid truck and coach technician certificate along with successful completion of the apprenticeship training program.
Also, a valid G driver’s licence is required.
