Amid the concrete towers and piles of soil in Toronto’s Port Lands sits a new park by the lake, marking the city’s latest efforts in bringing greenery to the industrial area as part of a broader revitalization project.
Located on the Martin Goodman Trail near the entrance to Tommy Thompson Park, Leslie Lookout Park includes a green space with a miniforest, a free bike repair station and a nearly 14-metre lookout tower — whose concrete exterior blends in with the nearby silos — with views of the city’s waterfront.
