Cases of whooping cough in Ontario highest since 2007

Ontario has recorded the highest number of whooping cough cases since 2007, prompting experts to urge parents to ensure their children are up to date with vaccines.

More than 1,400 cases of whooping cough have been reported in the province so far this year — four times as many as seen in 2023, according to data from Public Health Ontario.
