Charges have been dropped against the Hamilton man at the centre of a viral video showing him getting tackled by security at a Toronto Maple Leafs game earlier this year, the Star has learned.
Now, William Anderson is suing Toronto police, Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Ltd., its security guards and Bell Media Inc. in a multimillion-dollar lawsuit alleging defamation, unnecessary use of force, false arrest and more.
