One day after shots were fired outside a North York elementary school for Jewish girls, school leaders demanded all levels of government do more to address the rise of anti-Semitism in Toronto and said their community would stand united against hate.
Speaking to reporters outside Bais Chaya Mushka Elementary School on Sunday, school leaders said they were thankful there were no injuries following the shooting, which took place early Saturday morning, but stressed that students and their families should not have to face such a “tragic and horrible” incident.
