Costumed dancers and mas bands add sizzle to a sweltering day at the Toronto Caribbean Carnival Grand Parade

Nathaniel King sat, rakishly, in a lawn chair with a small fan to cope with Saturday’s heat as he enjoyed his prime position to await the masquerade bands dancing their way toward him.

Wearing long dress pants and white-rimmed sunglasses, King drove overnight from Ohio to take in the costumes, colours, music and energy of this year’s 57th Toronto Caribbean Carnival Grand Parade.
