CP24 is moving. Here’s what that means for the iconic car on the side of the Queen Street building

CP24 is expected to move to Bell Media’s Scarborough campus later this year, which left many wondering what will happen to the iconic news truck bursting out of the wall at 299 Queen Street West.

An internal memo from Bell Media sent out by company president Sean Cohan this week announced the company would be pausing redevelopment of its 299 Queen Street West building and moving some of its news operations.

There were plans in 2007 to take down the truck, once Citytv was set to leave the 299 Queen West building, sparking a Facebook group, “Save the City TV Truck!!” of nearly 300 people.
