The top floor of a building on Dundas Street just south of Kensington Market has been demolished over concerns that parts of the structure could’ve collapsed after it started leaning on Friday.
Toronto police and fire officials evacuated people from units near and at 608 Dundas Street West — a two-storey building with a convenience store on the ground level and residential units on the top floor — Friday morning after the building’s front wall started to lean over the street and sidewalk.
