As a season ticket holder, Meredith Heron enjoyed every PWHL Toronto home game at Mattamy Athletic Centre — within walking distance from her home in Cabbagetown. She found the inaugural season so amazing that she even travelled to Pittsburgh and Montreal for games to support the team.
So when it was announced that Toronto would play its post-season home games at the Coca-Cola Coliseum, Heron was ecstatic. It’s a much bigger venue, and would accommodate more fans bringing more cheers and support. She had been there before for the CNE and the international boat show, so she imagined going to the games would be smooth and fun.
It may not exactly be Maple Leaf Square but I’ll be damned if this isn’t an equally impressive turnout, a whole hour before PWHL Toronto playoffs puck drop at Coca-Cola Coliseum pic.twitter.com/aSDtOXC3ns
