Driver airlifted to trauma centre, two others seriously injured after early morning crash in Beaverton, Ont.

A driver was airlifted to a trauma centre with serious but non-life-threatening injuries after an early morning crash near Beaverton, Ont., Saturday, the Ontario Provincial Police’s Whitby division said.

The OPP said it received a call at 6:30 a.m. to respond to a crash on Highway 12 north of Highway 48 in a community near Lake Simcoe that involved a truck and an SUV. There was heavy fog in the area at the time of the collision, police said.
