Family distraught after beloved dog dies in Hamilton home kennel and put in freezer

A Hamilton family is waiting for answers — and justice — after their dog died in the care of a Westdale pet-sitter over the weekend.

Jenuen Monroe told The Spectator that her dog Cartelo, a nearly two-year-old American pocket bully, was “healthy” and “full of life” when her partner dropped him and their other dog, Spicy, off at the home of dog-sitter Jessica Kippen on the morning of June 15.

DOG IN THE FREEZER

Cartelo, an American pocket bully, died while under the care of a pet-sitter in Westdale earlier this month. His body was put in the freezer by the pet-sitter and was retrieved by his owners on Tuesday.
