Hamilton cop who filmed colleague dancing with gun quits before disciplinary hearing

A Hamilton police officer who faced possible dismissal over his role in two firearm mishandling incidents — and for misleading investigators — has quit instead of facing a disciplinary hearing.

During a brief conference call Monday morning, at what was previously scheduled to be the start of a four-day hearing, it was announced that Const. Saad Tariq had resigned.
