The Israeli flag was raised at Toronto city hall Tuesday as a small band of pro-Palestinian protesters chanted through loudspeakers below.
Some city councillors and other politicians attended the annual Israeli independence day event, along with Israeli consular officials and representatives of groups including UJA Federation of Greater Toronto and the Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center for Holocaust Studies.
