When Frank Novak learned two children had died following tonsillectomies, his daughter was screaming in pain after being rushed back to McMaster Children’s Hospital by ambulance following the same surgery just two days earlier.
“My heart just sank to my feet,” said Novak. “Like what’s going on. What’s wrong with her? What happened to the other kids? Is It similar?”
