‘It’s a great feeling’: Families meet first responders who provided life-saving care in heartwarming reunion

After going into labour days early, Danielle Takahashi was convinced she would have to give birth without the help of medical professionals, but thanks to Toronto’s paramedics, she made it to the hospital in the nick of time.

On Thursday, Takahashi and her family were reunited with the first responders that helped bring her second child — a boy named Nikko — into the world safe and sound, at an event organized by Toronto’s fire and paramedic services.
