Man charged with assault in wake of spray-paint incident on Palestinian and Pride flags

A 37-year-old man has been arrested after he allegedly assaulted a person who tried to stop him from spray painting on Palestinian and Pride flags that were displayed on residential properties in Toronto.

Toronto police say a masked Toronto man was spray painting on flags displayed on buildings near Dupont Street and Symington Avenue. When a passerby saw the damage and tried to intervene, the man then allegedly assaulted the passerby with what police described only as a “prohibited” weapon and fled the area.
