A Mississauga man who is alleged to have assaulted a police officer at a downtown Toronto protest on the weekend has turned himself in to police.
Police were patrolling a pro-Palestinian demonstration in the Gerrard Street East and Parliament Street area around 5:20 p.m. on Saturday when the incident is alleged to have happened. Police said the accused assaulted an officer before fleeing the scene.
