The mother of an infant who died after being reported missing at a midtown apartment Wednesday is now facing a charge of second-degree murder.
The infant, a four-month-old boy, was initially reported missing from a unit of the apartment, located on Roselawn Avenue, by his father at around 11 a.m. Wednesday. Police officers who arrived at the building found the infant in a room on the first floor where the building’s garbage chute ends, sources confirmed to the Star. Police believe the child’s body went down the chute, the sources said.
