Toronto’s public school board is being urged to counter anti-Palestinian racism and observe Nakba Remembrance Day.
On Wednesday, several parents called on the board to acknowledge the harm experienced by Palestinian students and to include in its calendar of significant days the Nakba, marking the mass displacement of Palestinians during the 1948 Arab-Israeli war.
