Part owner of Nations, Oceans markets killed in Mississauga home invasion — wife has been missing for over a decade

The victim of a deadly Mississauga home invasion was one of the owners of two popular Asian grocery chains in the GTA, the Star has learned, and the husband of a woman who has been missing for more than a decade. 

Around 3:47 a.m. on Oct. 1, police responded to reports of an altercation at 55-year-old Ruo Zhao Wei’s home near Central Avenue and June Avenue. Wei was severely injured in the incident  and was transported to a trauma-centre in life-threatening condition, where he succumbed to his injuries. Two other men were found injured at the home and were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Several suspects fled in a white-coloured SUV, according to Peel Police.
