Parts of Ontario may see up to 50 cm of snow over weekend as Environment Canada warns of ‘multi-day’ snow squall event

Parts of Ontario may see up to 50 centimetres of snow this weekend as Environment Canada issues severe weather warnings. 

Regions around Bracebridge, Parry Sound, Huntsville, Sault Ste. Marie, Port Elgin and Providence Bay are expected to be hit the hardest by what the government agency is calling a “multi-day lake effect snow squall event.”
