Pedestrian dead in hospital after Scarborough collision

A 37-year-old man has died after a collision in Scarborough on Thursday afternoon. 

Toronto police say they responded to a call to a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle in the St. Dunstan Road and Danforth Avenue area near 1:48 p.m. Police report that a 2022 Ford pickup truck was reversing southbound on St. Dunstan Road as the man was crossing directly behind the vehicle. The man sustained critical injuries and later died in hospital. The driver remained on scene.
