Porter Airlines says it is cancelling flights departing Friday morning until at least noon after a widespread technology outage caused disruptions to airlines, banks and information systems around the world.
Pearson airport also made a statement Friday morning warning travellers that flights could be delayed or cancelled, but specified that the operations at airlines such as Air Canada or WestJet haven’t been affected. However, other companies like Delta, American and United are facing issues.
Porter is cancelling flights until 12 p.m. ET, for July 19, 2024, due to third-party systems outages affecting global industries. Visit https://t.co/1IdMdjaOrV for more information and updates. We’re working to return service asap.
