Pride marches here. So why won’t the city fix the hazardous sidewalk?

Sidewalk bricks are an eye-pleasing addition to the urban streetscape, but they seem to be more trouble than they’re worth.

When they’re first installed, they soften the drab grey lines of the concrete jungle. But they invariably loosen over time, making them a hazard to pedestrians and a long-term liability to the city.
