Parts of the Gardiner Expressway were closed for flooding and thousands of homes and businesses across the Greater Toronto Area lost power because of a severe thunderstorm overnight.
Early Thursday morning, a westbound section of the Gardiner was closed from the Lake Shore ramp west of South Kingsway to Park Lawn because of a large amount of water covering multiple lanes.
