After two individuals allegedly robbed an LCBO and took off in a U-Haul van, Durham Police engaged in a car chase following the suspects as they drove the wrong way on the 401, eventually causing a collision which killed Aditya Vivaan, an infant and Manivannan Srinivasapillai, 60, and Mahalakshmi Ananthakrishnan, 55, his grand parents who were visiting from India.
