Some Pearson flights connecting to Jamaica have been cancelled on Wednesday morning as Hurricane Beryl heads toward the country after storming through crossing islands in the southeast Caribbean, killing at least six people.
In a post on X, Pearson airport said while there aren’t any “major interruptions” at the airport, some airlines have ”proactively” cancelled flights travelling to Jamaica due to the Category 5 hurricane moving into the Caribbean toward Jamaica.
Our early morning travellers are flowing through the airport, with today’s flight schedule showing we have 523 departures and 519 arrivals planned.
Operation-wise, we’re off to a smooth start with no major interruptions this morning!
