A teenage girl has been arrested for allegedly stealing a car at gunpoint in Scarborough early Wednesday.
Around 1:30 a.m., a Toronto police officer saw two people in a parked Honda Civic near Finch Avenue East and McCowan Road. They were wearing masks and throwing items out of the car onto the pavement, according to police. As the officer approached, one of the occupants of the vehicle allegedly jumped out and fled the area.
