The section of Lake Shore Boulevard where four people lost their lives in a fiery Tesla crash on Thursday is the deadliest stretch of road for drivers in Toronto this year.
The crash happened at around 12:15 a.m. on the stretch of Lake Shore just west of Don Roadway. According to police, the driver of a Tesla struck a guardrail and careened into a concrete barrier before the vehicle burst into flames, killing four occupants. A fifth, a 25-year-old woman, was pulled from the wreck and rushed to hospital.
