Toronto’s traffic has become so unbearable that more than half of residents in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area have considered moving away while more than a third have already changed their social habits, according to a new poll.
The public survey conducted by Ipsos for the Toronto Region Board of Trade found 53 per cent of respondents considered relocating, a figure that jumps to 64 per cent among older Gen Zs and younger millennials. Meanwhile, the chronic state of Toronto’s congestion is also causing residents to steer clear of certain spending and social activities.
