Toronto police say an officer has been taken to hospital after being struck by a vehicle fleeing a Scarborough traffic stop on Tuesday afternoon.
According to post from city police on X, they were carrying out a vehicle stop at Midland and Lawrence avenues around 3:30 p.m., when a driver suddenly sped away and hit an officer, who went to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
