Toronto cops will soon receive a retroactive salary bump, according to a recent internal union memo, which details a decision released by the arbitrator called in to resolve a heated contract stand-off between the police board and officers’ union.
All 8,000 members of the Toronto Police Association will receive a five per cent wage top-up for this year’s work under a binding arbitration ruling released Monday, which established the terms of officers’ 2024 contract with just two weeks left in the year.
