Toronto police arrest 2 men who allegedly sold cellphone boxes filled with sand or rice

Toronto police have made two arrests in connection with alleged Facebook Marketplace sales of fraudulent iPhones dating back to 2021.

Police believe two suspects sold fake phones that resembled iPhones as well as cellphone boxes filled with rice or sand, providing fake receipts to convince buyers of their authenticity.
