Toronto police say an officer with its drug squad has been suspended after he was arrested in Mississauga by another GTA police service and charged with a number of offences, including impaired driving.
Peel police say they received a call about a “possible impaired driver” in the area of Courtney Park Drive and Hurontario Street on Tuesday just before 2 a.m. Officers allegedly located the vehicle and arrested the driver. Police said multiple police cruisers were damaged as a result, and two officers being taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
