Warming centres open across Toronto as temperatures drop over the weekend

Warming centres across Toronto re-opened Friday evening as a blast of cold weather is expected to continue throughout the region over the next few days. 

The buildings open when temperatures reach -5 C or when Environment Canada issues a winter weather warning. The services typically begin at 5 p.m. and remain open 24 hours a day until it is determined that locations will close.
