For those looking to escape the GTA winter, Avianca has dropped the price of their flights from Toronto to San Salvador, El Salvador down to $339 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
Actually, that’s not quite true. Avianca doesn’t include any carry-on luggage in their base fares which allows their prices to appear significantly cheaper than they really are in major search engines. You’ll often find bottom-feeders conveniently overlooking this fact.
You need to add around $100-$112 CAD roundtrip to their prices for a more realistic comparison against other airlines.
For a true comparison against other airlines, Avianca’s flights to El Salvador have dropped down to $439 CAD roundtrip.
The flights are nonstop both ways.
You can also find similar prices on Avianca’s nonstop flights from Toronto to Bogota, Colombia. They are about $30 CAD more roundtrip.
And 1 stop flights from Toronto to the following destinations are also available for a realistic price (including carry-on) of approximately $439 to $499 CAD roundtrip…
Cartagena, Colombia
Cali, Colombia

Guatemala City, Guatemala
Guayaquil, Ecuador (Gateway to the Galapagos Islands)
