Avianca has dropped the price of their flights from Toronto to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil down to $412 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
The flights have one stop in Bogota each way.
NOTE: When entering Brazil after April 10, 2025 Canadians require an e-visa, which costs $80 USD
UPDATE – These are currently available for $412 CAD roundtrip with dates available in March, April, and May.

1. Start with the following Google Flights search:
Google Flights: Toronto to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
– Click on the departure date box to open up the calendar view.
– Browse for the cheapest dates by adjusting the trip length at the bottom.
– Look for the dates that are $416 CAD roundtrip.
2. Click through to the Avianca website.
IMPORTANT: The price on the Avianca website will be in $USD. You need to select the ‘Light Fare’ level, which includes carry-on.
The price should be $288 USD for the roundtrip flight.
$288 USD at today’s exchange rate = $412 CAD roundtrip.
